It’s been such an honour working for the fashion label SAYAT.
I’ve been entrusted with handling the launch of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection (lookbook art direction and copy writing, and social media presence). Click here for the interview we did for Mac+Mae, a NZ fashion blog. Words by me.
I’ll be taking part in the Auckland Zine Festival this coming Saturday, 29 August 12-5PM, at Pitt Street Methodist. I will also be debuting my new zine Three Panel Comics. Even gayer and sleazier than my previous zines combined (mature audiences only)! Hope to see you there!
I’ve been invited to take part in Chromacon 2015, NZ’s indie arts festival this coming 18-19 April (10am to 5pm) at Aotea Centre. I’ll be selling 2 zines (one gay-themed the other not so much) and stickers!
I’m looking forward to seeing you there!
Come and tell your friends, and say ‘hello’!
Entry is FREE! :D
It is waaay past my bedtime, but so much work to finish this week!
This Saturday, 25th October, 6PM at Thievery Studio will be the opening of the 100 Days Project exhibition. Check out the Facebook event link here. I have all my prints ready and will be setting up for the exhibit in the morning. I am very excited for this.
I have also updated my Redbubble online shop with all the 100 days prints that I like.
In the meantime, here are my top 3 favourites from drawings 76-100.
Enjoy! And hope to see you at the exhibit opening.
Currently, the stuff on there is a selection from my 100 Days project.
As a warm welcome to their community, Redbubble has featured my illustration, ‘Lady with White Hair’, in their ‘Found’ section. I am very thankful for the vote of confidence!
Created brand identity for Team HQi, a taskforce of innovative thinkers involved in the health sector. The idea for the icon is the Gordian Knot; a metaphor for solving a problem by thinking outside the box. Check out my link here.
Well what do you know. We’re halfway there. Some days, I’ll be having a late dinner with friends and I’ll think, ‘oh crap, I must go home to do my 100 Days hopefully before midnight’. Talk about being a nerd. You can follow my progress on Instagram or Facebook.
Also, some people have asked me if I will be selling prints of my work. And the answer is, ‘yes’. So kindly watch this space. I just need to stop procrastinating.
Time has really flown by. 25 illustrations done. 75 more to go.
It’s interesting embarking on the 100 Days project. What began as a promise to draw people and their clothes (real original idea, I know, pfft, haha!) has evolved into an exploration of colouring styles and drawing techniques.
It’s been very good for my creative energies. I can’t wait to see what the next 75 illustrations will look like. My 100 days project is also on my Instagram and Facebook.
The office designers have peer pressured me into joining the 100 Days Project, so now we’re ALL doing it.
My theme is to draw what people are wearing. Everyday. For 100 days. Yipes. We are currently on day two. To track my progress, kindly follow this link. Or go to my Instagram/Facebook.
Created my first iPad app using Adobe InDesign’s DPS (Digital Publishing Suite). I feel very accomplished indeed.
It’s for Colliers International NZ, the largest commercial property firm in Australasia. Check it out here.
